Sarel. A. Daantjie
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN Sarel is a young entrepreneur who started Mvelo Minerals in January 2006. Under his leadership the company has grown significantly and is providing contracting mining services to numerous mining companies. Sarel is utilising his position as owner and Executive Chairman of the Company to make a significant difference in people’s lives.
Richard Pilkington
DEPUTY EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN Joined Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Company as a Learner Official in 1981 and occupied various positions in the Gold Mining industry until 1990. Moved to Amplats and was appointed as a Business Unit Manager in 1996, Divisional Director in 2000, in 2004 was appointed Head of Concentrator Operations and retired in 2016. Richard is a highly respected leader who has developed numerous young professionals with particular emphasis on young Black professionals. Has been Chairman of the Board of Selly Park School for the past 13 years.
Rudi Rudolph
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Rudi has over 30 years of experience in both the gold and platinum mining sectors, he was also an appointed Inspector of Mines with the DME. Following his many years in the mining industry he culminated his career as Head of Operations at Anglo American Platinum. He currently provides consulting services to numerous companies and is a well-respected professional in the industry.
Pieter Johannes Anderson
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - GROWTH AND STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT Pieter is a highly respected member of the mining community. He obtained his Mine Managers Certificate in 1984, a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1991 and an MBL in 1996. Held various positions with Impala Platinum Mines and was appointed as Mining Executive in 2008. Joined Lonmin Platinum Mines in 2010 until 2017 as Optimisation Manager.
Johan Wessel van der Riet
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - OPERATIONS AND TECHNICAL SERVICES Johan is an experienced mining professional and joined the industry in 1965 following which, gained considerable experience at Impala Platinum Mines in both green and brown fields operations. He has recently returned from the DRC where he was appointed as Mine Manager of Kamoa Copper Mine.
